After the success of the first edition in 2007 a Czech team headed by Ivo Krill organized the second European eXtreme Flight Championship the 11-13th September in Znojmo.

The school was already started and my second plane didn't work! So to drive faster and save money we decided to come with only one plane (Yakk55M) and without my trailer...and if you need drive 3800km it is not a small economy! It was for me the last outdoor contest.

We cut the trip in two with one stop at the airfield of Julien Hecht to do the last training.

We arrived the Thursday at 2.30p.m at the airfield in Znojmo, Model City. The third French pilot Maxime Sellem was already here...

12 Countries was represented  by more than 30 pilots. The contest started the Friday morning at  8.30am and with an hotel at 30km from the airfield, we woke up at 6.30am, good bye the holidays! But It doesn't matter...

This contest was a good way for me to see some friends, I hadn't seen some of them  lately, like Daniel Hrachovec, Alexander Mettel, Gernot Bruckman, Donatas,Greig..and of course the Belgium team!

My friend Donatas Pauzuolis was present for the first time at the EXFC, but without his own plane (crashed during the training) he flew with the Sukhoi of Gernot so he couldn't fly at his level.

We flew the preliminary flights on Friday and only 15 pilots was keep to the semi-final.... It's quiet sad that some pilots as Maxime and Jens who drove so far to come and flew only two rounds! The first day was also very hard for me, with many trouble in my plane, but I finished 5th and Julien 6th.

The second day was without troubles for my plane but points was very different between two round for me, in the end I finished with 9th place and Julien with the 8th place, With only 8 pilots in final the contest  finished for me the Saturday evening. The good new was to see Julien in the final to represent the French colors.

In the final Gernot was constant and good, I was really impressed by Ido Segev and very impressed by the  progress of Wolfgang Krahofer ...Filippo flew also his round so good  with his older plane,  he broke his new Sukhoi just before the contest.

One of my favorite routine was flown by Wolfgang Krahofer, He improved so much his routine since 2008....great job!

We didn't prepare enough team flight, but It was better each round and we finished at 4th place with the same point of the thrid team, It was a really good experience to practice synchro flight in a contest.

The team number one was from Switzerland, Meier/Sommer won each round, they flew a soft sequence, but the quality was really better than all others team.
