Aerobatic-Cup 2010 Print

An experience with the new Sukhoi29 37% thanks to Aerobertics

After a lot of problems with my stuff I had no plane ready to fly in the biggest F3M events of the year...the AEROBATIC-CUP 2010 in Romilly.

But some days before the contest my friend Bert Delaere from Aerobertics gave me the oppotunity to take part at the contest by lent me one of his planes, but he had sold all these YAK 55M 37% before the contest and he proposed me to use his new Suhkoi 37%, he warmed me about the difference between YAK and Sukhoi but without Yak available it was better than no plane!

In fact, what is better than a competition to test a plane....I had no more than 2 flights to learn the plane and feel the difference between Yak and Sukhoi, my first feeling was the facilitate in roll and rolling circle thank to the fuselage area, snap and all other manoeuvre looked like my YAKs, the bert's set-up was realy close to mine for snap, I changed the deflexion on rudder and elevator to be smother during pattern. The power available thanks to the DA 170 was realy good for pattern and I was realy suprise about the low level of sound by using a new mejlik 30*13 EVO L bi-prop. For the freestyle I had no chance to change his set-up but I feel the plane like my Yaks.
