I am in Turino (Italy) for a few days. I am involved in the "World Air Games"  organised by the FAI. The main goal of this event is the meeting of some aeronautics disciplines like aerobatic, gliding, parachuting and of course RC model plane in the same city throughout the week.

I arrived on Friday evening after 800km, my first surprise was to meet the Van Der Vecht and Muller team in the hall of the hotel!!!

After the first night we went to the Aeritalia airfield for the accomodation and the general briefing. A good map is what you need have with you to find your road to the airfield!!!

The opening ceremony in the center of Turino

During the opening ceremony I met the French parachuting team, a very funny team and they also came support me the monday evening for the first Aeromusical round, thanks to them.

Sunday afternoon we had our first training session in the Pala Ruffini.  We visited also the airfield and saw the first demonstrations and Artitic Aerobatic training.

Monday, we flew the first round, it was funny(or crazy) to wait 3 days just to make one 2min flight, and I'm really happy about this first result, I won the first place, with only one more point than Donatas:-) (Result) Now the most difficult , keep this place!

We are only 9 pilots in Aeromusical, however many pilots thought that the level has increased since last year.

Tuesday, after a short trip on the Airfield, where Derk  made choice of his new engine!!! we went to an airfield out of Turino with the Lithuanian Team for a small training session.

Then we came again to the hall for the second round, during this contest we didn't allowed to practice with music in the hall, we can just make some flights to trim...

Result Day 2

Wenesday, first day off, it was a good opportunity for me to go on the airfield with the French parachuting team and saw their sport! I thank to all the guys for their time to me for explaining their sport.

And  the afternoon we found a very small hall in a school to do some training flights.

Thursday morning, After a good night I went to the airfield for seeing the 2 min sequence with the same music for all pilots and 4 min freestyle in Atistic Aerobatic.

We flew also the last preliminary flight, which was a succes for the Donuts-Team. Friday we will fly the semi-final and I hope the finale, we need take care about the semi finale because we haven't reflight, that mean if you crash or fly bad you couldn't go in the finale!!!

Friday evening, semi-finale and finale, sorry I didn't take many pictures...The finale round was very very close between Martin and Me, Just one more point for me!!! Donatas finished with the 3rd place.
