Elipsia Print

dscf2997Elipsia is my new plane for 2008/09 pattern sequence, it is a design from Didier Beylar which flights smooth and with really good precision capabilities. My first Elipsia weight 112g with battery!!!!

This airplane is produced by Donuts-models, after a discussion with Jerome Chambon I have chosen to use Elipsia for the next season. I think the best qualities of this plane are smooth, slow and an ease for the end of the manoeuvers...

All reinforcements are made with carbon rods diam 1.2mm. I have reinforced the  fuselage just on one side, it's enough for pattern flight. All servos are Daymond 4.7S from Aerobertics directly feed with 7.4v. I'm sure that there are the most appropriate servos for pattern.

I have upgrated my plane for new FAI sequence with several airbrake surfaces. On the right you could see a small system to have a long life cable command: You need  to stick a part of carbon rod perpendicular to the fuselage with two parts of depron on each end of the rod to secure cable, after that you glue it next  to the cable axis. For the flight you put the cable on the rod (picture) and for days without flying you remove the cable from the rod....So long life to cable tension!

I use the new Donuts engine Black Night F3P 12g with emax speed controler. For a complete power set up I use Extreme Power batterie 200mah 2S or 300mah 2S with carbon props 8*4. This set up is the best compromise I know, for the time being! Be careful: for long life batteries it's better to use 300mah 2S.

To win some weight, I have used a magic tool! Look at the picture on the right. With it I cut depron under the wing and on one side of the fuselage(right), this operation allowed me to win 10g!
